Introducing fellow friends another blood bank, located northern side of Singapore - Blood bank @Woodland. This is the third blood banks in Singapore I paid a visit for blood donation, and upon completion of this, would be considered full collection of all 4 visited Singapore blood bank. (Left only the one in Central hospital ,Outram Park) Woodland blood bank situated just behind the MRT station- 5th floor of Civic Center. And here you can visit the Woodland Regional Public Library as well ,which occupied Level 1 to 4, after your blood donation. The scene outside the Woodland blood bank is pretty impressive, overlooking the MRT station, which I rank it seconded to the one I last visited in Jurong East. 前几年新加坡传来了兹卡病毒事件，使得大马也神经兮兮的，生怕出入国境频繁的马劳们给兹卡病毒带入，所以卫生部就出了一个指令，说明大马捐血者需得离境新加坡28天后，方得以在大马捐血。（基本上这样的条例，代表着就是不要马劳的鲜血，因为别讲28天，2天离境新加坡都有点难度来达成） 前几个月，脸书上看到同样是大马人的同事在新山医院捐血，一问之下，才知道刚刚解除了禁令。就试一试在大马捐血看看有什么不同。 登记处就有点不一样，新加坡是自助填表格；而大马就有工作人员问你一大堆问题，帮你填。 登记处分站有一个是测血压的，护士拿了指头一滴血来测后，还来挤兑多两滴血来做血型测试。 她在纸上点了红色与蓝色液体，对其中一个有反应就是A型 或者B型，两者都没反应就是O型，两者都有反应则是AB型。 这测验在新加坡并没有当场做，而且我觉得有点多余，如果捐血者的资料都电子化，查一查资料库就知道了，何必浪费两滴血。 在新加坡捐血后，休息处会有许多饼干饮料任拿任吃；而大马就没这回事，配给一条面包、一罐100号与一瓶矿泉水而已。 但是主办单位青运也蛮好的，赠送每位捐血者一份Nando's餐劵，虽然我看不出烤鸡与捐血有什么关系，没听说吃烤鸡补血什么的，但还是蛮感激主办单位的大方。 在新加坡，护士会在捐血的时候，给予捐血者一盒十粒补铁片，而在大马就没这服务了。 但在马来西亚捐血有个显著的好处，就是随着捐血的次数，政府会给与相关的住院费与医药费免费（列表），虽然仅限于政府医院，但是对大多数人而言，是个很好鼓励大家行善捐血的动力。 不久前，脸书上有一位马来大叔分享他的住院故事，他说他原本住院医药费高达一万九千元马币，正在忧愁医药费的时候，突然医务人员问他有没有捐血小本，他说有；递给了工作人员后，工作人员就告诉他此次的住院医药费一律减免，因为这名马来大叔是个长期捐血者。 列表上显示捐血50次以上是最高级别了，就可以入住政府医院一等病房与免除医药费长达10年, 下来则终生免费入住2等房。 为自己未雨绸缪兼做善事捐血助人，能打动你持续捐血吗？ #Blood-Donation-Malaysia #马来西亚捐血

距离上一次捐血也已经三个月了，新加坡红十字会非常有纪律地传送短讯提醒我3个月输血期到来啦，刚好碰上这星期在新加坡就去捐好了。 上一次去了乌节路那里的多美歌血库，这一次打算向我一个捐了25次的朋友看齐，新加坡全岛4个血库都去捐看看。所以这一次选了一个我之前看了捐血路演照片而被吸引的血库-- 裕廊东那里的Westgate Tower 血库，因为看了这中心的着照片知道血库那里可以看到裕廊那里的美景。 裕廊东血库就在Westgate Tower 的十楼，所以上楼前需要向保安登记，他就会给你张通行证，以便启动电梯到10楼。 进入血库后感到有点惊讶，怎么在一个细雨纷纷的周日早上，血库里那么多捐血者的，该不是因为这里是新加坡西部唯一的血库，而大家非常踊跃吧? 填了表格书，发现原来许多同时间的捐血者都是缅甸人，他们都是组团一起到来的。 捐血的当儿，发现这血库的许多工作人员都是缅甸人，包括刚才量我血压的医生、抽手指血样本的护士以及抽血的护士都是缅甸人，当缅甸群排队抽血时，他们甚至直接用缅甸语交谈，这感觉很奥妙。而负责外出流动血库的红十字会工作人员则多为菲律宾人。呵呵 新加坡俨然东南亚首都。 这里的工作人员好像都挺友善的，我问她怎么这里这么多人的，我之前在多美歌血库好像没遇上这么多人，她说这里不时都有客工组团一起来捐血的，有时为菲律宾客工、有时印度客工，而今天则是缅甸团，他们来了25人（幸好我抵达的时候，他们已一半团友在捐血椅了，不然等好久啊）。 所以在新加坡的客工不止为新加坡经济贡献，还为血库献血！ 窗外的风景可真美，捐血后到一旁的休息站补给时，靠窗的座位还真热门呢！ 捐血5次还有个小勋章以资鼓励。 裕廊东血库在哪儿 ?  地址: Westgate Tower (Jurong East MRT Station, Exit D, walk through Westgate) 1 Gateway Drive #10-01 to 05 Singapore 608531 开放时间: 周一、二: 12pm to 8pm 周四、五: 12pm to 8pm 周六日: 10am to 5pm 周三与公假: 休息 元旦前夕，农历新年前夕、圣诞前夕: 9...

It has been 3 months since last blood donation, and I get SMS from Singapore Red Cross reminding the 90-day waiting period ended. So happen this weekend @auleo in Singapore so decided to go blood donation. Previous donation went to Orchard Road Blood Bank @Dhoby Ghaust, so this time round decided to follow a friend of mine who had donated for 25 times, to try blood donation in all 4 Singapore Blood Banks. And this time I chose Jurong East Westgate Tower as I previously saw a blood donation roadshow photo and impressed with its nice scene. Jurong East Blood Bank located at Westgate Tower Level 10, as such donors need to register themselves first at security before they proceed to issue you an access card to grant access to Level 10 lift. Tibanya masa untuk derma darah, justeru kali ini saya ingin mengunjungi Hospital Besar Johor Bahru dan lihat keadaan di bank darah ini. Saya berminat nak tahu ada apa beza antara JB dengan Singapura, sama ada ianya seperti seorang kawan saya yang sering buat pendermaan darah di KL, di sana mereka agihkan banyak makanan bagi penderma darah. Bank Darah Johor Bahru berada di satu hujung bersebelahan dengan hospital besar, ianya adalah bangunan bersendirian dan tidak berhubung dengan mana-mana bahagian hospital. Ianya terletak dekat pendiaman orang awam. Kalau ingin pergi ke sana , ingatkan keluar dari lebuhraya dekat dataran, dan belok ke kanan di simpang lampu isyarat dekat kedai mamak. 时间过得好快，转眼间三个月过去了，新加坡血库很贴心地发短讯提醒我三个月期限过了，可以到来捐血啦。  来到七月吉祥月，刚好有机会可以去到新山市区，就打算到新山中央医院血库看看那里的情况，看看跟新加坡血库有什么分别，也比较一下跟朋友提及吉隆坡血库有派发很多食物，看看新山血库。  新山血库在中央医院的一角落，是独栋建筑，没跟中央医院有衔接，入口也是跟医院不一样，在民居的一边，要前往的话，要记得在钟楼那里出大道，转入mamak档交通灯处。  流程跟新加坡血库一样，进到血库入口，自行拿表格填写资料，然后就到柜台登记。  捐血室内的座椅看起来也挺舒服的，跟新加坡血库有得比，且有一排是望向外面的树林，捐血感觉更舒畅一些。  这里是柔佛州的中央医院，所以也可以捐血浆，有机器可以循环血液。  一旁有间小休息室，给捐血者捐完血后休息吃东西，补充体能。  但发现这里没有一名在吉隆坡常捐血的朋友所说的-血库里很多食物如椰浆饭，水果招待捐血者。也没有好像上次在大马捐血时给捐血者的烤鸡劵。  无论如何，这一次捐血也就拿到了政府给予的小红册，记录每一次捐血的地点与时间。这本小红册未来也可以用来扣除住院费，还是有点成就感的，呵呵。  在新山捐血的这两次，发现到新山区筹办捐血的政府机构好像是分两派的，一是中央医院，一则是HSI 。跟血库员工询问事项时发现，这两个机构好像有点瑜亮情节。脸书上的资讯也是没统合的，要找新山最新流动捐血站需要去两个不同脸书专页找通告。  期待下来可以再去不同地方的血库或捐血站，再跟大家分享各处设施的不同。 新山血库地址： 46, Jalan Mahmoodiah, Kampung Bahru, 80100 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia 地图来源: 谷歌地图 开放时间： 周日至周三 8am - 4pm 周四 8am-2pm 周五周六，休息没开 #blood-bank-johor-bahru  #新山血库  #bank-darah-johor-bahru  #jomdermada...

Last weekend I was rejected to do blood donation during the Singapore Red Cross roadshow at Khor Meng San as I filled the declaration form that I took Chinese herb. This week I am well prepared that stop take in Chinese herb few days before blood donation, luckily enough not affecting much my work performance. Singapore Red Cross Blood Donation drive not only have the road shows , go around the island , but they do have 4 permanent blood donation stations namely Bloodbank@HSA, Bloodbank@Dhoby Ghaut, Bloodbank@Woodlands & Bloodbank@Westgate Tower. And this time @auleo went to the one nearer to me - @Bloodbank@Dhoby Ghaut Xchange.
